What's the status of altq in -current?

I tried to set up some basic configuration (cbq and a few classes on
a ppp interface) and I was not able to run a -current kernel for more
than 10 minutes or so. After this, the machine randomly froze completely.
Should I investigate further or is this 'quite normal'?

The same kernel without altqd started seems to run fine (for 24h now).
