Once you have created a disk mirror (raid 1,4,5), is it possible to make
the disks read-only and still have it work?

could you, for instance, create a mirror'd ffs partition and put burn
it on two cd-rom's and have it work or does the disk mirror code need
to write to the disk early on in order to start up?
