Ok, the anserw is in the september thread :)
So a kernel option ("options SASI" ?)  would be much better.

Maybe the rigth thing would be to have a saci attachement.
But this may bloat the code for not real gain ...
This could eventually allow cut-down configs with sasi-only support.
