I noticed that Doug Ambrisko has been doing significant work to flesh
out the an(4) 802.11b wireless driver for freebsd.

        http://www.ambrisko.com/doug/an/if_an.c

Most notably, he has ioctl hooks for doing most of the card's
functions. (Signal monitoring, burning flash firmware, snooping the
airwaves etc.) He also seems to have binary compatibility with linux
working (or almost working) where he can run the cisco linux binaries
to monitor signal strength and burn flash.

Does anyone want to offer a cheat-sheet for porting the extra parts of
this driver from freebsd to netbsd? (Or better yet feel like doing
it. ;-))
