This triggers another question. I would like to have russian fonts in
console so that I don't have to fire up X on my notebook just to dial
out and read my email in russian. I've chased wscons calls and so far
my understanding is that currently a mapping table needs to be
compiled in to get this done.

Is there any work in progress to support loading of mapping tables on
the fly? Or am I just misreading wscons sources (it's not really
documented).

Thanks.

SY, Uwe
