Here are a few measurements on a dell  latitude cpi:

NetBSD-release (april 30th):
Pipe bandwidth: 89.42 MB/sec
Pipe bandwidth: 90.64 MB/sec
Pipe bandwidth: 92.74 MB/sec

NetBSD-current (april 30th):
Pipe bandwidth: 87.66 MB/sec
Pipe bandwidth: 87.15 MB/sec
Pipe bandwidth: 87.43 MB/sec

NetBSD-current+newpipes (april 30th):
Pipe bandwidth: 284.21 MB/sec
Pipe bandwidth: 283.52 MB/sec
Pipe bandwidth: 286.06 MB/sec

Also about 12 hours or so when the upgrade of my domain ftp
and web server is finished, the full lmbench 
(e.g. /usr/pkg/bin/run-lmbench) plus these will be
available at http://www.diverge.org/misc/pipe_info.html
