Just to join in the fun:

DECsystem 5000/260 (R4400, 60MHz)

text data bss dec hex filename
    2006936 45472 368156 2420564 24ef54 /onetbsd
    2013880 45504 368428 2427812 250ba4 /netbsd

    before Pipe bandwidth: 10.60 11.23 12.21 11.76 MB/sec
    after Pipe bandwidth: 46.34 41.40 37.35 46.06 MB/sec

    before Pipe latency: 140.5883 137.3894 137.1826 122.5174 microseconds
    after Pipe latency: 121.2334 120.7624 121.1673 120.6366 microseconds

Alpha PC164 (Alpha 21164A, 500MHz)

[ old kernel lost, no size comparison ]

    before Pipe bandwidth: 57.97 63.08 64.90 55.89 MB/sec
    after Pipe bandwidth: 201.67 142.47 198.28 142.90 MB/sec

    before Pipe latency: 28.3014 28.7068 28.1293 29.1413 microseconds
    after Pipe latency: 17.0290 14.6929 16.8709 17.6301 microseconds

I notice that people haven't been showing latency results (from
lat_pipe) - but it's good to see those numbers better too on
these two platforms.

Simon.
