Recently I've been looking into getting PLIP support working with the
more advanced parallel port modes which will allow for bi-directional
byte size transfers. However, it seems that NetBSD parallel support is
still pretty primitive, PLIP isn't even supported on any other arch but
the pc532. After looking into things I've come to like FreeBSD's ppubs
which adds a lot of functionality to the parallel port. I'm wondering
if anybody has any objections to ppbus and/or integrating this support
into NetBSD.
