Hmm... i sense quite some frustration ... and thats not good !! Allthough
i dont like patches/stubs it sure is an immediate solution to this
problem for sure until someone starts on wedges ... hmm... i'll look at
the wedges part more but i guess it takes some deep kernel knowledge to
know where to fit it all in ... 

Well dont be disillusioned that soon pal, i would say try it out in i386
if only on your own machine and then its waiting for the MI version of
wedges.
