That's because console 0 is preconfigured by the kernel so that it can outp=
ut
the kernel boot messages to you.

I also seem to recall that the first console can't be changed lateron, but =
the=20
dynamically added ones can.

There is a variable you have to set to YES in /etc/rc.conf first:

wscons=3DYES
