Yes.  I believe it's the same problem that was causing aborts on the
SMC 83c170 cards you were using before (that we exchanged private
e-mail about).

As I recall, the problem with the SMC cards was "target abort", which
in the case of a DMA transfer would be the host bridge aborting the
transfer for some reason.
