No.  You'd do this sort of thing:

	struct itimerinfo iti;

	ret = allocitimer(ITIMER_VIRTUALTIME, &iti);
	if (ret < 0)
		errx(1, "allocitimer failed");

	/*
	 * iti.itimer is the itimer number to use, and iti.signal is
	 * the signal it will generate on expiration.
	 */
