I think the kernel at that location is too old (pre-ym).

I have put the kernel running on my Toshiba Portege right now
at ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/incoming/soren/netbsd-portege.gz .
This one is also a little old, but you can at least try it out.
It also includes Hayakawa-san's Cardbus patches, so be sure
to set the Cardbus bridges to 'Cardbus mode' in the BIOS
configuration.
