Yes, that's the whole idea, to (for example) run a VAX userland - VAX
binaries, that is, not just a VAX-targeted cross-compiler - on faster
hardware (Alpha, Pentium, whatever).  Personally, I want to run /vax,
/sun3, and /hp300 userlands on a SPARC.
