Such can be kludged by using a wide single-ended drive and a
wide-to-narrow adaptor.  Make sure you terminate the high bits.  I
have such a setup in my home machine.  Actually, if it's the only wide
device on the bus, I think you can actually get away without
terminating the high bits due to the way that wide-bus negotiation
gets done, but my memory is a bit hazy on that matter.
