Sorry, Chris, I dont think thats true. A slot-based architecture
precludes the flexibility which, in today's OS market, is necessary.

I agree 100% that a slot-based scheme is the best fit for our current
conception of autoconiguration. Problem is, that model of
autoconfiguration is no longer adequate.
