In fact, last time I looked at pmap_nightmare and nightmare1, they were
just plain experimental. I think Mark has queued some suggested
improvements (one function, called pmap_check_cacheable, which is a far
more sensible name IMHO :-) ) which I think work much better but were
never really proof read. Mark, can you fish these?
