Strange is that these in no such symbol p*{read|write} in theirs
libc.a, nor any prototype in any header file under /usr/include.
Seems to me like it's not there .... I don't have the kernel source
handy, I'll dig it out and check it too.
Well, the RH 5.1 is 2.0.X based, maybe the pread(2),pwrite(2) & getcwd(2)
are new in 2.[12].X ?

I'll try to dig out if they are using the 64 bit off_t and will send-pr
the change eventually.
