I must confess that I actually see much smoother Xserver behaviour when 
running the not-originally-by-Ragge test with the new kern_exit.c

Unfortunately, make LintSysNormal still sucks up 87% of system cpu time.
I guess, time to find a faster CPU... or just to go away and fetch a coffee;
91 seconds should be enough for that :-)
