Thank you, Frank, but best you don't worry.  I have resorted to Intel 
EtherExpress adapters, since the version of FreeBSD I had access to 
also did not handle the 3C905B-TX.

I'll be very keen to use the 3Coms when 1.3.3 become available, and I 
may try to get some experience by back-porting the driver when I have 
some time to spare; please don't go out of your way on my behalf.
