I also have one of these but haven't tried it in a pcmcia slot. I just figured
it wouldn't work.

But I do have a nifty little jig that has a 40 pin IDE connector on one
side, a disk power-connector, and a pcmcia slot... If I put the sandisk
in there, it probes as a wdc0/wd0 and I can mount the think like a regular
IDE disk.

kind of funky, and only marginally useful.
