Not quite true.  There were known uses that some of us could think of,
but the rest of the structures were changing enough that it seemed
'best' to just kill it until somebody actually wanted to reintroduce
it to _use_ it.  (It wasn't clear exactly what it should be come in
the new world order, so given that, better to kill it and add it back
later than keep it in in a way that was inappropriate.)  At least,
that was my take on it.

It wasn't being _used_ in NetBSD.
