Maybe I'm confused, but imho what you are talking about is rumba, not samba.
With samba you are providing SMB/NetBIOS services to SMB-Clients (ok, there
is a ftp like client that comes with samba). rumba on the otoh provides a
server that speaks nfs on one side and SMB on the other side. But rumba
does the nfs mounting on its own and doesn't use mount_nfs.
