Personally, I have never liked the uugetty "solution" - I think
that Chuck's analysis of it is bang on, so to speak.

It's nice that it's there, for the people who want to use it.
However, I am quite happy with the turn of events that will see a
SunOS style device-based exclusion mechanism implemented, also.
