I think the reason they think this is that the registry *is* probably
a win over the equivalent WIN.INI file.   Unfortunately, their
prediliction for trying to keep everything in one file has been their
downfall, and the NT registry is the obvious logical conclusion.

I agree completely that this should never be the standard way of doing
things in NetBSD.
