These I/O controls belong AFAIK to the basics of termios. If we don't
support them we will break compatibility with lots of existing programs
e.g. our own NTP server.

BTW I got my own program running again. But I've got to change the
    flow control to CRTSRTS and back to reset the clock. That's what
    I call a hack. :-(
