Thanks for the responses. I haven't always been booting to
/netbsd, which would explain why kvm.db is in error.

Unfortunately, the man page for 'kvm' included with 1.2
contain no mention of kvm.db, or kvm_mkdb, and I hadn't
thought to poke around for such a database.
