(grin) I remember when I was really amazed that emacs could scroll
as fast as my Control/V key could autorepeat. That was on a
DECstation 3100 running at 16MHz. If Microsoft was having performance
problems with their window system running as a process, it was
probably a result of their lame IPC system, and putting the window
system in the kernel probably bypassed that.
