There is no offense in our current experiments with an sppp based ppp
implementation! We are not dropping the stuff originating in your work, we've
done some cleanup and bug fixing and now have it working quite well.
There are situations where you have different needs - and thats what the
alternative implementation is for.
But this has drifted quite a lot off topic - I just wanted to point people at
the sppp stuff, before something similar gets reinvented.
