Hallo,

Just been reading that apparently in 4.4BSD there was some support for
what they termed 'lightweight processes' --- effectively threads but each
one with a different process ID --- in the kernel, but they were never used
due to a lack of a suitable C library. Is this code still present in any form
in the NetBSD kernel? Presumably with the ideas of many people towards some
form of SMP in NetBSD, and the work done on libc by Chris Provenzo (OK which
would not be directly portable over but...) for his pthreads implementation,
would such a concept be a good idea?

	Cheers,

	Neil
