Hi,
For the past 2 years, I've been working on an IP packet filter for use
under SunOS 4.1.x. More recently, I've taken the time to port it to NetBSD
and it now successfully runs as a loadable kernel module (pseudo-device
driver type). As more and more people find the desire/need to use this
sort of software, I'd like to know if anyone is interested in including
it with NetBSD. Personally, I think NetBSD should be offering something
in this field and I think it does a very reasonable job - definately
better than any other free offering I've had the chance to review.

If you'd like to check it out, it can be retrieved from:

coombs.anu.edu.au:/pub/net/kernel/ip_fil2.5c.tar.Z

(this is currently a `beta' release, for testing and evaluation for running
under NetBSD whilst I work on completing the package).

thanks,
darren
