The i386 port (now) probes devices in the order they appear in the
isa_devtab table, which is essentially a 1-for-1 translation of the
config file.

I'm working on some changes right now that will make it look like
config.new on the driver side; this has the advantage of a) allowing me
to update all the drivers and remove some temporary hacks I've done,
and b) making it easier to pop a new version of the SCSI code in.

I'll send more details to port-i386 when it's running...
