No, it was an UNPRIVED build, DEST gets everything in it.
The 'problem' was installing that in the root filesystem of the
diskless client.

Could I do a build without -U with uid != 0 straight into the
root filesystem of the diskless client, and use NFS to map the
client root onto the uid that did the build?
