I have never used kickstart.

But I have made a customized sysinstall:
 two floppies
choose "yes" to do complete automated install
uses auto presets for first disk, fdisk, disklabel, etc.
uses dhcp to get network info
uses ftp by default (hmmm. I can't remember if I hardcoded in my local
   ftp server)

How automated did you need it?

Do you need it to grab some configs from somewhere?

How do you plan to get it started? (With floppies?)

By the way, I think there needs to be some documentation for sysinst. (I
can't remember: maybe it supports using some config file.)
