Eg in a powerd script. Normally, one can't read them anyway
because the process is too quick.

In any case we can't hardwire a switch to screen 1 in the
kernel. As said, it would not work on systems where X
is running on the first (and possibly only) screen.

Actually I'm not sure it is right at all to deal with
this in the wsdisplay suspend/resume functions: at that
point, the X server might try to access I/O devices
which are already/still suspended.
