in that case, what's a problem with just reading the code?
while i haven't noticed the tmpfs(9) manpage until pointed out,
i had no problem to understand the code.

IMHO having this kind of redundant documentation
merely increases maintenance cost.
if you are volunteering to maintain it, it might be fine.
but i don't want to maintain it.
