With the CONFIGFILES version, try:
	make configinstall
instead of
	make install

Or use the "make install-etc-files" in the parent directory (src/etc).
Or use "make distribution" in the top-level (src).
Or use postinstall fix.

This is how various other configuration files are installed/updated,
including the other src/etc/* directories...
