Please make sure your commit messages make sense in a self-contained
file.  This message made sense to me when reading it, because I read
it in an email log right after the previous commits to other files.
but some time later, when someone is looking at the logs for history,
that context will be missing from this file.

Please update these commit logs to include the actual details of the
change, as you logged them for the other platforms.
