I can confirm the latter and add a new problem: it doesn't work with
an/my USB keyboard.

The PR has some documentation how to set this up. Maybe we could append
this wscons(4) ?

Being the originator of the pullup I'm naturally a bit biased, but I
think we should go for the latter since I consider this an important
feature. Being unable to scroll annoyed me several times in the past...
