I don't really feel that you answered any of the questions in my last
message, Jason. Why is it that, when in the past we have actively changed
files to avoid things like this showing up in what(1), this is different?
And who set this policy? Are we going to do this with other things? Using
what(1) to quickly identify a kernel becomes less and less useful the
more things like this that get added.

No, it didn't occur to me. Does it checksum itself? I had a board at
one point; I don't recally if I put it in my Big Box o' Stuff that I
shipped to Japan. I'll check tonight.
