I think unless you've disabled the building of the deprecated 'host'
utility in some other way that this is wrong.

The 'host' utility must be a separate package made for the *real* 'host'
as the ancient BIND version would conflict.  I.e. the one at:

	ftp://ftp.nikhef.nl/pub/network/host.tar.Z

I'll send-pr such a package A.S.A.P.  I meant to submit one ages ago.

(Of course I've been asking for the in-tree 'host' to be updated to be
the *real* version for some time now too -- I did so in my source tree
years ago....  The one in BIND is so old and useless it's worse than
nslookup!)
