it's not a matter of "fine print" -- the distribution of X has changed
enough that i damn well *hope* they'll read the install notes,
especially the part about "what to install".  if you put a note
in there, they'll notice it.

considering that if they don't read it, they'll blow away their
Xconfig files and will then *definitely* have to read some docs...
