After declining by 3.7% in 2003 "largely due to high prices discouraging
demand in the industrial and electric power sectors," natural gas demand
is expected to bounce back this year, the EIA said on Tuesday. Expected
growth in the economy, "along with somewhat lower projected annual 
average  natural gas prices," should push 2004 demand up by about 2.2% 
to 22.28Tcf, according to EIA's February short-term energy outlook.
