No, I did not see the error you reported. My kernel building was successful without any errors. The reason may be because I am running amd64 and you are running i386?
Or maybe you forgot a step in the build process?
When I get such an error I often start over from scratch and install and rebuild the whole system. I have set aside an 8 GB partition for the purpose. NetBSD installation takes approximately 10 minutes and xen kernel building 20-30 minutes.
The time consuming part is customizing the new system, but it is not too bad if I install precompiled packages (which I do).
