Re: NetBSD 6 - Xen 4.2.3 pciback support?

Found the old report: http://mail-index.netbsd.org/port-xen/2014/01/11/msg008197.html

libxl: error: libxl_pci.c:639:libxl__device_pci_assignable_add: Couldn't lstat /sys/bus/pci/devices/0000:04:01.0: No such file or directory

The issue is that this is linux specific there is no /sys/bus/pci/devices.

Do you see this too? or are you stuck at another step?

Hi,

i was reading the list but its not clear for me if pciback / passthrough
works on XEN 4.2.3 with the "workaround" or not from the pkgsr.

Did someone has successfully passed through / pciback a device in Xen-4.2.3
>from the pkgsrc?

>from memory I think it works but only for HVM guests

last time i tried with HVM also PV (NetBSD6.1.3/4-amd64) and also some

AFAIK PCI pass-through won't work with PV guests Xen 4.x, the code
from Xen 3.x has not been ported.

sorry to say but i tried BOTH version earlier, PV and HVM cause i was not sure wich version maybe works with PCI PASSTHROUGH, after testing and patching i was not able to get PCI PASSTHROUGH working, may i am to stupid or i dont know, on NetBSD 6.1.3/4-amd or Current.

thanks
best regards
