In which other file(s) do I need to substitute 'sd0' for 'wd0' to get it to boot successfully?

Both swap (wd0b) and the root file system (wd0a) are configured in /etc/fstab.

Thanks for replying Hubert.

On double-checking, I discoverd /etc/fstab somehow didn't contain what I thought it did. :( When I actually replaced all references in it to wd0x with sd0x booting via the USB adapter worked properly.
