Physical CD access problems

Hello all,

I am having trouble reading from a physical CD ROM on two mac mini's.

For unprivileged DomU's I have tried the disk entries:

'phy:/dev/cd0a,0x2,r'
'phy:/dev/cd0a,0x04,r'
'phy:/dev/cd0a,cd0a,r'

For privileged DomU's I have tried:

'phy:/dev/cd0a,ioemu:hdc:cdrom,r'

The results are either:

1. Unreliable reads while installing NetBSD (unprivileged DomU)

2. The console error: (unprivileged DomU)
cd0(piixide0:0:0): Check Condition on CDB: 0x00 00 00 00 00 00
    SENSE KEY:  Not Ready
     ASC/ASCQ:  Medium Not Present
xbdback backend/vbd/11/1536: can't VOP_OPEN device 0x600: 19

3. Complete system freeze with privileged DomU's.

Any suggestions?
