Is it xen2 or xen3 ? For me a current Xen3 kernel loads fine with Xen 3.1.0:
borneo# uname -a
NetBSD borneo 4.99.29 NetBSD 4.99.29 (XEN3_DOM0) #21: Fri Aug 17 10:29:41 CEST 2007 bouyer@rock:/dsk/l1/misc/bouyer/tmp/i386/obj/dsk/l1/misc/bouyer/current/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/XEN3_DOM0 i386
