I note one difference: for my NetBSD domU's hosted on linux dom0's,
the device name I use here (where you have cd0a) is the linux name as
found on dom0 (ie, hda1).

There are errors in your log file related to looking this name up.

I don't think netbsd cares what the name is here, they get mapped
through as xbdN in order.
