conftest issue

Hi,

When compiling Python (both 2.7 and 3.3) from pkgsrc, in both instances 
conftest took 100% CPU for hours before being killed and the build log was 
stopped at:

...
checking for broken poll()... no
checking for struct tm.tm_zone... (cached) yes
checking for working tzset()...

After killing that conftest process, working tzset results in no and the 
compile continues.

Does anyone know why this might be happening?
